Electrical fan help.

Hi, I'm new here and was wondering if anybody could help me out. A few months back I bought a 1994 Z28 and I haven't been able to drive it because it's been one thing after another. First we thought we had the overheating issue fixed, but now for some reason neither fan will turn on at all. but the circuit tests went okay. and we thought replacing two bad relays would help but they still won't turn on. Anyone know how to fix this or are the fans just dead?

Try running 12 volts directly to the fans and see if they come on.

Well they aren't dead. They came on to a direct charge like you said. And now me and my dad discovered some fishy wiring dealing with the fans. Like bad splicing or non-taped after they re-did it. You think that may be the problem?

You really don't provide enough detail as to what is really happening and when. Maybe some education on how the fans work will help.

Well the sensor on the water pump is apparently working right. We tested it. But when the car is on it will just run and once it gets to the temp the fans are suppose to come on at, the fans fail to engage. As I've said. We've tested the relays and even replaced two and they still won't work. So I don't know. I apologize if I sound stupid by the way.

You don't sound stupid. There was just not enough detailed testing information provided to know what had been done. There is testing info in the link I provided.
