Cup holder

Does anyone make a cover that fits in the cup holder to make it flush with the rest of the console?

Re: Cup holder

Not that I know of. I usually fill mine with change. It's flush then!

Re: Cup holder

What would you want that for? Just curious.

Re: Cup holder

Does anyone else find the cup holder to be too shallow?

I frequently have things tip over if the glass/bottle is too tall.

Re: Cup holder

Suprisingly, the Biggie sized drink from Wendy's also fits fine in the cupholder. As long as I don't take a turn at 25+ mph, it's snug.

Re: Cup holder

I've always been amazed that we have 4 cupholders.... I agree the console one is aweful for M6 guys - I NEVER use that one, only cupholder that is allowed to be used is the one that swings out - that way if the drink is dirty or sticky, etc. it gets on the wire that holds it in cup holder or falls onto rubber floormat. I learned this because there was once a girl who I believe held her shake and to be nice I put mine in back cupholder(s) and it made a little lake in there I had to clean then apply protectant again the next day. Ever since then, only the spring one. If bringing food from somewhere, passenger is required to hold their drink over their lap to not spill on seat and mine goes in the spring swing holder. And of course, there is absolutely no drinking in the car unless it is water only (which, of course, must be filtered). On a side note, I got my first speeding ticket today (93/55) - just had to get that off my chest.

Re: Cup holder

Yeah, that cup holder spot sucks for an M6 car. It's still useless to me, even with this automatic. If I could find a way to cover this up I would, I'll search around

Re: Cup holder

i tried to make a cover, but it didnt com3e out too good. to do it right, you would acutally ahve to mold one. i only alloow bottlwed water in my car, cap on at ALL times...unless the car is OFF. and i usually stick it in one of the cup holders behind the seats.

Re: Cup holder

I find the cupholders in the back work pretty well, both the ones in the front aren't worth the risk IMO.

Re: Cup holder

I dont use the swing out one becausae im afraid i will hit a bump and it will break off. and the other one just gets in the way. i am in the process of moving, but after i do, i am going to make a mold, and an insert that goes into the cup holder. ill post pics of that later.
