Converters too loose, Can I kick it into 4th gear down the 1/4?

Ok Im in a bad situation right now, Im finding out my converter is way too loose and its a non lock up. I at this time dont have time to pull it out but I will in a month or so. If im spraying the car can I go into OD or is that going to kill me? I was told that it wont go from 3rd to OD in WOT? Is this correct?

It will shift into OD. It's not going to hurt you any, the 4th gear just isnt the strongest gear in the world. Certainly isnt a good thing if it can be avoided
