Clutch Reccomendations
Hi Everyone!
Im brand new here so go easy on me! I just picked up a 96 Z28 M6 convertible and its my first pony car! It has a Magnaflow cat back, SLP cold air intake and strut brace, and a short throw shifter. Me and my kid are both pumped.
She does need a new clutch though. Im going to be honest, I dont have the $$ to spend on a 500+ clutch kit, and I dont plan on doing any track time. Its just going to be a cruiser with some added toys. I was looking at the RAM "muscle car" clutch kit on Summit racing for 363.00. Is that a good clutch kit? Any other suggestions would be great. I really need to stay under 400 for it (as I need to resurface the flywheel as well)
Thanks!
Mike

if you dont mind posting up the link to it I would like to read it. Thanks. I have run spec clutches, the 2.5 and the 2. The 2 wore quickly and the two is still going. Had an issue and the guys who installed it said customer support sucked, I had good customer support getting some misc. things (fwiw). Eventually I will need another and want to know what works and lasts. I ran a ram clutch in my truck and it was junk, for that app a luc clutch is hard to beat. Good luck.

I just read through the sticky on this forum. Im actually back to zero with my clutch. Im thinking I might try to get a LUK clutch kit, or some other type of OEM set up. I dont have the $$ for an expensive setup, and like I said earlier, I dont have any plans for immediate huge power upgrades. That, and I also want to get an OEM flywheel as well.
Any other clutch suggestions?

Re: Clutch Reccomendations
Why is it so hard to find stock clutches?!?!?
Ok, just so I know, the correct part number for the luck clutch kit is 04-134, correct? Does any one know if the pp is balanced? I read briefly that they are, just done differently. (Metal is shaved instead of drilled)
Thanks!
