Gains from Dr's

I am going to the track saturday, for the first time on drag radials. My previous best, a 13.6 on a 2.08 60ft, I think there is room for imporvement. I think the weight transfer will be there because there is 100k on the shocks and the front sway bar is off. I am hoping to cut a 1.89 or in the 1.80's. Do you guys think that is reasonable? I have sfc's, lca's and some mild gears(3.73). Also I had the car at 3200lbs last time going to the track, it will be very close to that weight this time areound. please post your opinion

Re: Gains from Dr's

A 1.8 should be pretty easy to obtain with some drag radials...and it should knock your time down to about 13.3 or around there. Do you have an M6 or an A4? If you have an m6 I believe you could even get a 1.7 with a really good launch, but if its an A4 with a stock converter then with your mods a 1.8 is probably as best you can get. On my car the best 60 foot I got was a 1.87 after about 25 track runs....and the worst 60 foot was like a 1.91.

the car is a m6, I am going to be taking it easy since i recently re did the rear end. I have heard too many 10 bolt/m6 horror stories to try a 5k dump. The car has also trapped 103, I am interest to see my results.

Yeah, definately don't go out there dumping on it. You're gonna need to ride the clutch on some for best results. Can be tricky, but just takes lots of practice.
