datamaster trouble

Hey guys

I am trying to datalog my LT1 that i swapped into my 91, and i keep getting an error that states, "The ALDL adapter is working, and unknown data was detected. This may be an unsupported PCM type.".

This car has been dyno tuned, and mail order tuned using this ALDL port.

What could be my problem? I am using a usb to serial adapter. This is the 2nd different one ive tried, and i have gotten the same error. The drivers are installed properly. Any ideas?

Re: datamaster trouble

Can you verify what year ECM (93 or older) or PCM (94 and up) is in the '91, what year harness, and what version of TTS DataMaster are you running. ref this page..TTS Power Systems . Trying to verify if the DataMaster program DM35X8D or XDA or XEE you are using matches the ECM or PCM code that's running the LT1. Sometimes the USB to serial adapters cause comparability problems. Not ready to go there yet..

Re: datamaster trouble

The PCM is a 94 as well as the engine. The harness was made by speartech for an LT1 OBD1 to my year camaro. I am running the DM35xEE version of the program.
