If the bores are clean, straight and in spec, and it has suitable pistons, run it. But if not, maybe find a shop that does a "shake & bake" where it's roasted and shotblasted. Comes home looking like a fresh casting.

3931063 heads are junk and should only be used on a numbers matching motor. They shroud the valves so bad that a peanut port head will make more power. Sell them to a collector or an old school person that doesnt know. Run the 454 and get any other head but a closed chamber. There are alot of articles out there with dyno comparisons showing how bad they are. They will increase your compression ratio without anything else.
