LS1 Camaro possibly for sale. Want to know what you guys think I may be able to get!
1998 v6 Body – 2000 LS1 motor swap, t56 6 speed.
7x,xxx miles on the motor. 6x,xxx miles on the body.
Less than 1000 miles (prob less than 500) on the rebuilt.
• Rebuilt top end, valves, etc
• LS6 intake manifold
• Ported throttle-body
• Clear air intake lid
• TR224/224-112 lsa cam
• HALS QA1 12-way adjustable suspension
• Strange 12-bolt rear-end with 4.10 gearing
• Rebuilt t56 (to stock) 6 speed transmission, Skip-shift installed
• 3” Hooker LT Headers, Hooker ORYP, Hooker cat-back exhaust
• Y2K Corvette wheels, 255/35/17 front, 275/30/18 rear
• Lou’s short shift shifter
• SPEC stage 3+ clutch, new fly-wheel
The motor misfires from 1500 to 3500 rpm. It ran perfectly for about a year before the misfire started.
I may be missing a few mods on the list, but that is the jist of it.
Thanks,
Cory

You'll have to work pretty hard to find the right buyer, but I'll bet you could get $7500 for that.
I'm guessing the MAF sensor is the cause of your misfire. Is the Service Engine Soon light on? Have you checked for codes?

How much are MAF? What makes you think that? Is it an easy install? I'm decent with a wrench.
If a car has not been started for 2 years. Is there anything that I should worry about? What about the gas etc. You just gave me hope. I gave up on it. Saving for a wedding but if you think that may be it. It's my baby. I'll find money elsewhere!

But again, is the SES light on, and have you checked for codes? A bad MAF usually sets a code. Do NOT order a MAF sensor on my hunch. There are a variety of other possible causes. Also, sometimes the MAF is just dirty, and you can clean it rather than replacing it.
The other thing I'd do before starting the car is pull the fuel pump relay (it's in one of the plastic boxes under the hood, and it's pretty clearly labeled) and crank the engine over for ~15 seconds. This will prime the oil system. Then you can plug the relay back in and start it again.
Worst case, the bad gas will clog your injectors and/or fuel filter. Replacement fuel filters are cheap and fairly easy. Injectors are a bit more expensive and a bit more work, but still doable for a DIYer.
I'd get it from RockAuto, though -- they have the factory-original Delphi AF10056 part for $97. Don't get any of the knockoffs at any price. For engine sensors, ALWAYS go with the original equipment.
Good luck.
