your title is a little confusing there buddy. "Do not you supposed to...". Anyway, i am not a real knowledgable auto-x'er so hopefully someone else can chime in.

When I autocross with street tires, I usually start out at 45 PSI in the front and drop from there until some shoe polish shows that I'm rolling to the very edge of the tread. That 51 PSI Max is for highway use where you can get heat into the tire. For autocross use, you will only be turning that tire for 60 seconds, to speeds of 45 MPH MAX, and you have no worries of overheating the tire.
People with infrared thermometers will immediately check their tire temperatures across the entire contact patch and tune tire pressure until temperature is the same across the whole tread.
Head to 45 PSI and have no fear: It wont pop unless your tire or wheel is in bad shape. FWIW, I usually keep my rear tires at 32 to 35 PSI on an autocross.
