some sort of leak

well it is coming from what i would say is the middle of the car....between the muffler and the transmission. Will an exhaust leak actually drop liquid? It only a few little dark dots.

Your pinion seal is probably the culprit. VERY common on our cars.

Yes, when the car is first started, if you have an exhaust leak, condensation mixed with carbon forms a dark liquid and will find its way through whereever the leak is. Once the exhaust system is hot, you should not see any liquid leaking out of the exhaust system.

If it's that color, it could be what the person above said.... condensation mixing with black carbon in the exhaust , and comming out of a leak.

Only other thing I could think back there is tranny fluid out of the back of the transmission, but the would be RED, unless your fluid is veeeeery burned.

It could be again, condensation and carbon from an exhaust leak.
