Aftermarket Hurst shifter adjustment

Hey all,
Does anyone with an aftermarket Hurst shifter (Not the stock hurst crap) know how to adjust the stops? I mean I know how to actualy turn the screws and what not, but I 'm looking for some method of making the adjustment. Thanks

Put shifter into third gear. Tighten the nut all the way up and then back it off 3/4 of a turn and tighten. Put the shifter into 4 fourth gear and repeat what you did in before.
