A buddy of mine wants to do this transplant. Has anyone done this or anything close to it. I found LT1s in the older style jimmys but nothing in the newer ones. Also he found motor mounts for a 97 but nothing for 98 plus. He wants to use the 6 speed and im also wondering weather the shifter will line up to his console. One more concern is weather a one piece driveshaft would work. I can have it made to the correct length but would it be too long without a driveshaft bearing setup like on most trucks. Thanks for any advice or answers oyu can give me.
