Lightbulb 3.73 Gears question

I have a 3.73 gear set by Strange Engineering, but no master install kit. Will any install kit work with any brand of 3.73 gear, or do I need to buy it from Strange? I cant find anyone that sells Strange Engineering Parts anymore. (I bought the gears about 2 years ago and never put em in due to Military issues) If you can help, I appreciate it.

Any manufacturer's install kit will work, they are for the specific rear end not by gear manufaturer

not sure if the series carrier matters, like A4 has a diff carrier than M6. i also have 3.73s and install kit ready to go in soon.

The carriers change as to what gears you have, a 2 series carrier will accept any ratio's begining w/ 2(2.73)and 3 series cariers fit rati's that begin w/ 3 (3.42, 3.73, 3.90,3.55) ect
There is no differant carrier for auto vs. manual trans., the tranny has nothing to do with it

but the 3.08 gear A4s use the series II diff carrier and the 3.42 and up use series III.

so there might be two types of install kit

Install kits are the same, Ive not herd of stock 3.08's on a 2 series carrier. but there is aftermarket gears that go on the "wrong carrier" I have a 4 series carrier in my 70 BB camaro and 3.73's BUT the gears were a differant part # especialy for a 4 series carrier. I have put hundreds of sets of gears and havent run into 3 some thing gears on a 2 series carrier that the back lash and set up is right on. Yes they bolt in but you get like .100+ backlash.
