Solid roller question

Ok this is prolly a stupid question but I was wondering if I can go to solid lifters? I am running a billet GTP-6 cam with Hydro.lifters. I believe you can't because of the different cam profiles (lobe ramps) but I wanted to make sure......

No, you cannot use solids on a hydraulic lobe. Solid cams are ground with a clearance ramp ground into the ramp to take up the lash clearance and gently get the lifter onto the lobe. Hydraulic cams do not have this clearance ramp.

People have done it but the valvetrain usually comes to an early demise.
