I just bought a 99 T/A 6 speed with a lid and flowmasters. What kind of 1/4 mile should I expect?

depends on driver and conditions it could be anywhere from a 12.6 to a 13.6

I dont think it will run 12.6, youll be lucky to get into high 12's..i say a 13.2 at best

how do you figure it won't be in the 12's? if he is a decent driver he could easily go 12's he should be between 305 and 315 rwhp i would think he could get at least a high 12 out of that is he can cut a 2.0 60'

because its a 99 and it doesnt havge ls6 intake and mine is a 98 and i ran 13.3 stock.....i had $****ty bald tires but i consider myslef a good driver im sure stik00 can tell u that:p

he will stay in the 13s most likely and thats considering good track conditions

OK well then go run it at the track and see what happens...and no offense but he said he JUST bought the car, to me that implies he isnt going to be a perfect driver, give him some time and POSSIBLY in the 12's

Not all '98+ F-bodies go 12s stock or even near-stock...probably 99% of them don't.

I would expect around a 13.5-13.6, if you expect anything more then there's a pretty good chance that you'll be a little disappointed. Actually, as long as you hit 13s, you should be fairly happy (for your first time out) and then just know that as you get better at driving/launching the car, your ET will get lower and lower...and eventually, you'll find yourself running 12s (probably after a couple more mods too).

Not very many of these cars actually run 12's stock. If you think otherwise, you're in for a big letdown.

Mid 13's is a good estimate with a 2.1 60'.

For reference, My 2000 Z ran 13.6 on a hot and humid day. The car picked up speed as the air got better, but it was still stifling. The car had 39,000 miles on it and was stock aside from a K & N air filter (which doesn't do much if anything). It is an A4 with a 373 rear end. My 60' were all around 2.0. I had zero wheel spin. You should do better as long as you don't mess up the launch.

I ran a 13.7 when I was totally stock and had a partially blocked air way, it was about 90 outside also. Havent got to go back yet with the new mods and some better weather.

Dont worry so much about your times. Tell us what your trap speeds are. That will tell you what your car has with a great driver.

Just curious--what is the best time/trap any of you've done on the street with an essentially stock car, the Eagle F-1s or RS-As or whatever comes on your car, using a Tazzo or whatever timing device you use? Also, when you guys are hitting 13.5s at the track, is that w/ regular OEM street tires or on something else?
