LT1 heads on a non-LT1 350

will they work? anyone done it?, I know the water passages in the front need to be machined in, are there any other issues keeping it from working? bolt holes, ect.,

The way I herd it was it would take a lot more than machined water pasages. More like different intake different bolt patern and water pasages that won't line up.
That just what I have herd.

Yes you can make the LT1 heads fit your car but not without a lot of work done. The only way that they would be cost effective is if you got the heads for free and you knew someone that could do head work for VERY cheap. Otherwise just save your pennies to get a set of aftermarket heads.

LT1 motors are reverse flow coolant systems;this is why the special bleeding procedures need to be followed . save your $$$
and go for aftermarket aluminum heads, not worth the headache!

Definitely can be done, but by the time that you pay to have this done, you can buy a set of good aftermarket heads ! Aluminum is not always the best way to go......I personal opinion is that the Mowtown 220 or even the Dart Iron Eagles are the best way to go ! Dart Iron eagles are offered in a 215cc or even a 230 cc head !!!
