Smokinsometires 02-28-2003, 11:08 AM I will have a few switches for various things in my Camaro shortly. So, I would like to make a custom switch panel or something to mount them all in one spot nice and neat.
I would like to see what some of you have done to get an idea of where to put it and such.
Thanks!!
MeefZ28 02-28-2003, 12:19 PM Here's my ashtray switch. I had it hooked up to the exterior and interior neons. With the new car, I'll probably get 2 switches in the same area to have separate controls. Not the best pic, but you get the idea- it's a single green rocker switch.

crazyjoe 02-28-2003, 12:36 PM Go Here (http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/crazy_joe)
Go to the second page ('95 TA) and it's towards the bottom of the page. We used the "Transmission Perform" button housing and made a custom plate to fit the switches in, I like it a lot!! The car belongs to FUNINA91SS now, actually he's the one who made the panel! I like how everything is easily accessable from the drives seat :)
Joe.
Smokinsometires 02-28-2003, 01:00 PM Thanks, but I will have more switches than that and those spots don't have enough room :)

JSK333 02-28-2003, 04:04 PM There is one on the Z28 page in my sig. It's for my n2o system. I'll be adding a momentary purge and momentary rocker switch for the remote bottle opener, shortly.
The guy who made it for me is open to making more. If you're interested, email me.

Since I am going to a 98+ console eventually that would be useless to me :)

where can you get one of those panels?
catsnet 03-01-2003, 09:28 PM you can't get them any more.
someone tryed to contact the manufacturer and get the GP going about a month ago - never heard from it since.
Butch 02 SS 03-01-2003, 11:28 PM I have mounted my switches 3 different ways.
1. I took the sunglass holder out and found a project box at Radio Shack which fits with very little grinding of the box itself.
2. Overhead console - Again, used a Radio Shack box which I attached to the headliner with velcro.
3. I drilled out the .25 .10 .05 coin holders and mounted the switches in there. No one could tell I had anything unless I opened the hood.
If interested, the pics can be found at:

joed4640 03-02-2003, 12:30 PM i took out the 'cell phone' holder in front of the shifter , used the piece as a template and made a nice switch plate out of wood
(try to stay away from a metal plate, i learned the hard way:( )

I order 1 a couple weeks ago and he still had a few left.
Smokinsometires 03-03-2003, 04:39 PM No one has any switch panels that are in place of the cassette holder on 93-96 cars? I will be going to a 98+ center console so I wanted to make a switch panel that will fit in that empty space. Has anyone done this?

In other words, the cassette holder completely removed from the car and a switch panel fit to that spot ;)

This are NOS brand if I'm not mistaking
Wolf Warrior 03-05-2003, 03:29 PM But this can be used for other stuff then N20 right?....Also, that tray goes in your ash tray? So it could fit in an A4?...If anybody knows where I could get one of these, please let me know...
JSK333 03-05-2003, 05:57 PM It looks like the NX switch panel to me. I think it's around $60 or so, can't remember for sure. Yes, you can use it for anything that requires a switch.
Don't know if it'd fit in an A4 console, since I've never seen one up close.
It's NX brand, and it won't just pop in. I had to use a dremel and modify the ashtray casing...............
what i'm sayin is it's just a panel, it's was not designed to go where i have it, requires modification
stik6shift98 03-05-2003, 07:08 PM you can But this can be used for other stuff then N20 right
yeah, like underground neon switches
Wolf Warrior 03-05-2003, 10:52 PM You see, I have 2 switches in my ash tray...1 for ground affect neons, and 1 for inside neons (call it rice or whatever you want, I'm 17 and I like em!)...I didn't spend much time installing the switches becuase I wasn't too worried about it. I figured the only time I'd see them is when I'm turning on neons, and I don't turn neons on during the day, so I won't even see the switches...Well, I'd like to get a good looking switch panel. I like the hole 'hiden' thing I have going on, but if you guys know of any good looking switch panels could you let me know?
stik6shift98 03-06-2003, 05:29 PM I am 17 and have a switch for ground effect neons too--what are the odds....and it isnt riced out, because i dont keep them on and i dont have stickers everywhere
stik6shift00 03-06-2003, 05:36 PM you used to have stickers up the a$$!! haha took those offf though..have to work on the montero now
Smokinsometires 03-07-2003, 09:48 AM anyone else?
