I'm in the market for a new car. I'm tossing around a 98+ SS/WS6 or a supra tt. Both can be made to do about what I want them to for about the same amount of money.
I love the car I have now, but I've had and iche for something new for along time.
All opinions appreciated :)
btw, I know where I'm posting this question.

You must be smoking something that fouled up your head. Go with the SS/WS6... they're 1/3rd the price of the supras and they're more dependable and there's way more stuff you can do to them for cheaper. Supra TTs are hard as heck to find in good contition and TT, plus the F-bodies get better gas mileage and are lighter. Don't forget the good-ol saying -- aint no replacement for displacement.

Yeah, my buddy sold his T/A and flew to Texas (from FL) to buy a Supra TT. He's got it running over 400 rwhp now with mild modifications and runs 117.8 mph trap speeds. The car looks good and everything, but it's got like 95k miles on it! Most of them are higher mile cars because they stopped making them a few years back, so it's a preference. If you're going to spend the money to get either car to do about the same, would you rather have a car with 80k+ miles or one with around 30k? The Supra's nice and exotic, but I'd go f-body baby!

Of course you come on an ls1 board you are bound to get ls1 biased opinions. Its all a matter ls1 of what you want to do ls1 to your car and how fast ls1 you want to go on what ls1 budget. Check out this thread here that has a nice video of a supra vs ls1 : http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82033&highlight=ls1+supra+video
That video should settle any ideas of having a toyota in your driveway as your sportscar.

I'll have to check that video link out once I get home.
The funny thing is, the guys on the supraforums are also telling me to buy an fbody. Mainly because i want to spend under $25,000 for everything (which I can definately do by buying a 98 z28). I'm definately not getting a good impression from some of thoughs members. That's beside the point though.
The high milage is something that does bother me. I know thoughs engines are near bullet proof though. Both are outstanding vehicles. it's a tough choice.
