You know what really sucks about the Silverado SS?

Well aside from it being real pricey.....
(I'm guessing close to 35k USD)

If Dodge puts their 5.7 Hemi in 1/2 tons (an you can bet they will) you can add that to the list of trucks that can smoke Chevy's SS.
(and the Dodge 1/2 ton 5.7 Hemi wouldn't even be marketed as a performance truck!)

Hmm...maybe Dodge can give me what I want- shortbox, 2wd. Just beef up the suspension
a little....GM continues to disapoint.

I bet Dodge comes out with a Dakota R/T with the 5.7 Hemi- betcha it would haul and wouldn't cost nearly as much.

I'm hoping for a second or third year power upgrade. A BIG power upgrade. This SS will not be able to compete.

THe Ram will have the same specs (20" Rims and 345HP) as the SS plus it will be Cheaper. If Dodge is smart they will put the Hemi in the Dakota R/T and keep it as cheap as it is now.

Isn't the Ram a bit heavier than the Silverado?

Yeah I think it is but the Hemi will make up for that. (if your talking 4X2 1500 Ram with Hemi VS Silverado SS)
