Is the TB spacer plate beneficial? If so what are the benefits from them. I have heard they increase airflow for low end torque.

I have noticed that no one has them on their car.

My reason for asking this is not for my personal car but for my work vehicle.

I drive a 2002 blazer with the "vortec" 4.3 liter V-6 for work. Once we get past the warranty mileage point we are going to start doing some simple mods to them. We are going to add a CAI, but our vehicle guy was asking me about the TB spacers. Any helpful input on these would be nice.

Also, is there any type of PCM modifier like LT1 edit for the V-6?

from what i have heard from people that have s10's it does sweet **** all. there is one on my dads work truck (dropped red 99 s10) it makes a nice whistle sound under load. well i believe it is that, not sure though. just from camparing it to ones that don't.

I know the TB spacers do increase your power on a 350 TBI set-up. I know a few people that have tried them and have had some decent gains for $100.

To the best of my knowledge, Tunercat has PCM Programming abilities on basically any GM vehicle.

As far as the TB spacer... Couldn't tell ya myself, but I wouldn't expect much. The Newer Vortec 4.3s have a composite manifold, and so heatsoak would be a minimal concern (which is often the reasoning behind the spacers). There may be some gain there, but probably not worth the $ and effort. JMO.

Theres no such thing as a free lunch (or an easy one). ;)

I wasn't real sure these things added anything, but thought I would ask. I will have to look at tunercat so we can get rid of our 95  mph speed limiter!!!

I caught a v-6 mustang at 102 one night. The only way I caught her was when she wrecked out in curves!! Need to up the speed limiter. 95 mph is nowhere near the rev limiter!!!!

Any other suggestions, besides the usual, for bolt on mods for the "vortec" V-6?
