We are selling some 3 to 5 year old laptops at work here and I'm wondering what's the minimum speed, memory, and such to run scan tools and LT1 edit? Thanks.

LT1Edit requires like a Pentium 120 as a minimum, but since you have a 94, get Tunercat. It's cheaper, better, and you'll like it a lot more (especially because you'll save like $150). Tunercat only requires WIN95, so it will run on a old 486 (albiet rather slowly). Just curious, what are these computers (brand, model), what speed, and price. My old laptop took a dump on me and I've been looking for new one.

Minimum? I used Tunercat on a 486 25MHz SLC2 IBM processor, with 12 MB RAM. However, FORGET any kind of logging on such a machine, and logging is VERY important if your trying to tune. Those machines are WAY too slow to capture data fast enough, I get maybe a frame a second tops with that machine.

Try to get a P200 or faster, spend the money to make sure it has 64MB RAM. I have run a P120 with 48MB RAM, not a bad little mahine. Later ran a P233 with I think 128MB RAM, and then a P2 366 which was also great. Each one successively I was able to capture a little more data, I think the most I ever saw was maybe 7 frames a second? But I'm a bit foggy on that one.

I am using a pentium 133 with the moates cable and have no problems logging data. I get 10 frames a second and could even get maybe 20 frames a sec but have never tried.
