N20 Switchs and MAF questions

I am attempting to make my own switch plate to fit in my ashtray. I will currently only be using the activation switch, but figured I can install a remote open switch and a purge button. Question 1: the activation switch that came with my NOS 5177 was a 16amp 12volt switch. Any problem using a 20 amp 12 volt switch? What purge button do I want, the 4AN or 6AN for this kit? I may not buy the purge right now and want to run the wires however.
Lastly, do I need to remove my MAF ends and go back to the stock unit with the screen in?
Thanks all,
Tuc

Thanks,
Did you have to cut out the area to make it fit?

As far as purge, most entry level systems come with -4an for lines,so get the -4 purge kit.
Direct ports and the bigger race systems have the -6 line.

I didn't. I'm not sure about your '99 but on my '01 right in front of the shifter there's a little "cubbyhole" about the right size for a pack of cigarettes. The little "comprtment" will pop out leaving a open hole and that's where the NX switch panel fits into it.

I made my own. In there I have the Activation, Bottle heater, Remote opener, Purge and now a line lock switch but I haven't uploaded a pic of that config. to my webste yet.
