The New National Corvette Museum

I was on vacation this past week so I decided to drive down and check out the new expanded National Corvette Museum.

It was very nice, lots of new space including a large reception hall, new larger Corvette store and a Corvette Cafe among other things. Some areas were still under construction.

Cool pictures. I haven't been down there since 2007 or so. Might have to head back.

Humm...I'm surprised they still have areas under construction.

I was there the middle of April; about two weeks after they opened up the new sections but I thought they would be fully "operational" by now.

It's a nice facility...the expansion is nicely done.

They had a cool exhibit with a completed aluminum Z06 frame with a bar on the front of it that you can use to lift up the frame off the platform, if fact I was able to lift it up using just one arm.

I'm hoping Camaros will go back to BG next year. I went in '03 and '05. Now that I'm married and life has settled down a little, I'd LOVE to go back. My wife is a horse nut too, so a ride to Kentucky would make her happy as well...

Same here. I'd love to take the C6 back there and enjoy the show.
