Feels like taking off in 3rd

ok just rebuilt my tranny and when i pull out of the driveway it takes off like normal and shifts a little soft then when i come to a stop it almost feels like its taking off in 3rd if i manually drop it down to 1st then it feels like it kicksdown but still revs high. speaking of i do have a stall. so i cant figure out if its hanging up some gears or what. It didnt do this before i rebuilt it. it had just burned up 3-4 clutches. I put some alto clutches, band, pinless pistons,3-4 drum spring loaded check valve, torlon *****.
Would maybe a worn valve body plate frome the old metal ***** not be sealing good or maybe even making the torlon ***** stick?

I will try to get some codes tonight and see whats going on. If it was in limp mode wouldnt it reset if i turn it off and reatart it? I drove it down my street this morning to a gas station and turned it off while fueling and when i drove it back to the house it was still fudging up right when i put it in gear after startup.but 3 days in a row after sitting overnight it feels fine before i come to a stop for the first time.

its a 94 4l60e? does it have 2 solenoids in the front of the valve body or 1? take the torlon ***** and throw them in the garbage. the steel ball sticking in the middle of the plate doesnt matter, bang it flat with a hammer and put the 7 steel ***** back in. make sure you got the valve body gaskets on the correct side. v is for valve body and c is for case side. if you got a vb or ca gasket those are wrong. you need to scan it, you may just have a bad shift solenoid. make sure you didnt cross the 2 connectors.

its a 94 tranny and if your talking about the shift selenoids yes there are two.
So was the torlon check ***** a bad idea? If so why? I thought they were an upgrade?!? I dont have a problem going back to the steel *****.Yeah i put the correct gaskets on the valve body marked c and v.
Also what are you talking about the steel ball in the middle of the plate?
and also the selenoids definitely arent backwards. Would a bad shift selenoid cause a no downshift situation?

Ok got to check the codes and the only one that is showing is"code84 3-2 downshift feedback fault(odm)"
what do yall think? im about to go drop the pan and valve body and probally just change the ***** to the steel ones for safe measure. and try to double check everything down below.
Please let me know if that code brings up some flags

the solenoid thats in the front of the trans. valve body, its probably bad, or you possibly broke the connector enough where the terminals aren't making contact anymore. they get brittle with age and when you disconnect them they sometimes break but not completely. try a new one. ive had a similar situation with one b4.

well i swapped a new set of steel ***** to replace the torlon ***** and also made sure the connector was pluged in correctly and its working great now.i did however make the mistake of putting a longer screw in the center of the vb and locking the tranny up so i had to drop the pan a third time and change it to a shorter one but all is good but the 2-3 shift still feels a little slouchy. i will just do a new posting for that problem.thanks to everybody that put there 2 cents in

UPDATE
Decided to drive it to work this morning and is still doing the original problem took off and shifted fine when i left the house but take off from first stop felt like im taking off in third again. It shfts ok on the highway and goes into overdrive and lockup like it should as well as coming out of it. I am now thinking it feels like i maybe taking off in 2nd but is hard to tell. Also when i came to a stop off the highway the car rocked back and fourth almost like reverse and forward gear was on at the same time...its how i would picture a trans brake working. The car felt like it was hyydraulically locked in place. i took off and dropped it down in 1st but didnt help very much.
What can this be? is it possible something is causing reverse to come into play?
