These are HS modded stock rockers. I was changing my valve stem seals earlier today, and was about to put these back in and I spun one. It was catching, so I decided to check it out. This is what I found:

My bearings are destroyed. The rockers are destroyed. The trunions are gouged badly. The rocker itself shows heat marks where the bearing itself failed. If you are running HS mod rockers in your car, PLEASE go and check them. I found another person with the SAME issue, albeit not as bad, on LS1tech.

I've never heard of those. I've used stock rockers (unmodified) on all of my LS1 motors with no problems. (470rwhp H/C/I car, 530rwhp 408ci car, 514rwhp Auto P1SC car, 415rwhp cam-only car)

Must be the lastest LS1T**h bullsh*t fad.

That sucks, dude. Replace them all with stock rockers and enjoy your ride.

Actually they've been quite popular for a long time, I've had these for about 4 years. I put them on after a stocker puked needle bearings everywhere. They have longer trunions and C-clips to hold the bearings in. HS has admitted there was a bad batch that were improperly heat treated, made about the time I got these. I posted this thread to warn anyone else who possibly might be running them to go and check them. I think I am going to take the old stockers I have and do this:

***UPDATE***

I talked to Randy at Harland Sharp who was extremely helpful and more than willing to replace these rockers. They stopped using this INA bearing awhile ago and are aware of this issue. Big thumbs up to Harland Sharp for stepping up!

It's always nice to catch a problem before it damages something else much more expensive!

This is the first I've heard of the HS rockers failing. Have you looked into what Edelbrock is now offering? May want to check them ou.

I believe COMP is offering upgraded bearings as well now... Didn't know Edelbrock was offering any!
