Exclamation This is what your slave cylinder and clutch fork shouldn't look like...

driving home from school the other day, my clutch pedal went completely to the floor and would not come back up...found out after i towed it home and took things apart that my master cylinder went, the fluid all leaked down into my slave cylinder, which fell apart into pieces when i removed it, and then i noticed my clutch fork broken...luckily everything else was fine
just one of those unplanned wonderful things that happen sometimes

Your fork broke first, then you pushing the clutch in with no fork for return pressure broke the slave. Sux.

is it common for the fork to break??? the only thing i can think of is that my fork is the factory one and has a TON of miles on it and it just got weak after time, but i was sitting still in traffic when the pedal just gave out...

heheh not to resurrect an old thread, but mine just did this last wednesday. i limped the car home, and tore it apart sat and found the exact same thing. fork broke in same location, and the slave came apart cuz of over extension. mine went out while i was doing a 3-4 shift, on easy driving. good thing i have a spare trans and slave.
