Mike at Stealth deals with Fasttoys and he maybe able to do something for us if enough guys want it....I want one but don't want to spend too much money, saving up for a wolfe.. Punisha69 01-10-2003, 03:55 AM what do they go for? i'll be intrested sleeperZragtop 01-10-2003, 04:18 AM They list for 155.00 usd and the stud kit is 19.99....I want to do it so that the stud kit is for free or the T/A cover for 125.00, they would be shipped to Stealth and I'll pick em up for everyone, that way it would be no shipping charges... Tw!tchb!tch 01-10-2003, 10:12 AM If you can get that price Im in . phil94-T/A 01-10-2003, 11:07 AM If it sells for a good price I'm in........... dewey316 01-10-2003, 11:14 AM that cover should fit the late 3rdgens right (89+). if so at 125, i will get in on that action. (and i live in portland, so i could pick it up myself ;)) 93TAWicked1 01-10-2003, 07:01 PM well I have a TA cover but I need the stud kit so if Mike does this let me know so I can have him order a second one. BTW DUDE I got my car back from the alignment shop set the rear suspension up and aligned the front. MY god with the new tires and brakes and all that adjustable rear end stuff set up it ROCKS, its like driving a new car with the rebuilt front end and handles crazy, and all that crazy noise is gone :) You have to come down next time I'll have it tuned and that TPS thing fixed......MAYBE a rushing wind noise coming from the engine, not sure if I have the nads to throw the s-trim on their yet :) sleeperZragtop 01-11-2003, 01:26 AM ..nice work Bobby, hopefully next time I come down I'll have the Z...once I get back to Canada I'll paypal you some money...thanks again, Mike oldschool 01-11-2003, 03:44 PM I may be interested, as the cost of a 9-inch is too high with paying for school this semester. Keep me posted, it's 9-inch or the rear cover this year...I need some sticky tires on the back;) Andy phil94-T/A 01-12-2003, 07:32 PM Just wondering if anyone has an update on the GP situation..........come on guys I know you all want a T/A cover;) mr_muff 01-12-2003, 08:58 PM i might be interested in one if i can get some more money edit: when would i have to pay by? Almost disposable at that price too ;) Camaro ChriSS 01-13-2003, 12:02 PM Originally posted by SPO/F1 MIKE Since We don't carry the cover i went a head and Email Phil @ http://www.fasttoys.net a copy of this post ...we will see what he can do for ya .... I've dealt with Phillip Reddy at Fasttoys a fair bit before and he's cool. I'd be in on the GP but I already have the TA studs combined with the SLP ported girdle. sleeperZragtop 01-14-2003, 02:01 AM .....I'll send him an e-mail and see what he can do for us...Mike Doc_z28ss 01-15-2003, 10:11 PM any news Mike? i think i would be interested in these depending on price thanks. sleeperZragtop 01-17-2003, 01:42 AM Fast Toys will not be able to help us on a T/A cover but he is able to hook us up with a Mac cover, the same as a T/a cover but cheaper in price not quality...this is a quote from Fast Toys, and IMO I think it's a great deal...as for quality and value you can't go wrong.. Mike, Unfortunately, I don't have a digital picture. They look exactly like the TA covers except they have no writing on them. They are made of 356 T6 aluminum and have the two grade 8 support bolts to prevent the main bearing caps from moving. If we received 6 or more orders, we could sell these for 116.00 each + shipping. ...please let me know; Mike Lost 01-17-2003, 01:48 AM Well I was doing a search tonight and came across this thread. I know I don't really belong in the northwest section at all BUT this looks like a great deal. Is there anyway I could get in on this action :D BTW, is that 116 with the stud kit? :D Thanks sleeperZragtop 01-17-2003, 02:00 AM Mac dosen't make a stud kit for this, althought there are some heavy grade 8 bolts for the cover...all I need is 6 guys, I'm one so far... Thanks for your inquires; Mike phil94-T/A 01-17-2003, 10:18 AM I'm 2 JD30thZ28 01-17-2003, 01:42 PM Hey guys just to let you know, I was at Mopac yesterday and James had a TA girdle there, he said $235cdn for it. I'm not sure how much more he would give off if you bought a few but it is worth a shot to see :) sleeperZragtop 01-17-2003, 03:00 PM ..an alright price, but once you add all our taxes and the stud kit it's not worth it here's the math: for the Mac in cdn. with studs - 201.23 shipped tax in for the T/A converted into usd. - 154.00 tax in plus 19.09 for stud kit ...keep in mind the cover's will be shipped from Fast Toys in Canada ....thanks anyway Johnny; Mike Punisha69 01-17-2003, 03:30 PM Just talked to James at Mopac... Price Per T/A Cover if 6 Or More $226.49 + Stud $33.37 = $297.59 Tax IN... US PRICE 145.47 + 21.43 = 191.10 USD Tax IN + shipping. so, thats what it would be from mopac.. just giving you guys options... oldschool 01-17-2003, 06:59 PM Is the mack one as good as the TA? For the difference of about $40 usd I'm guessing there is a difference. (no stud kit..why not?) If there isn't...I'm in... Andy sleeperZragtop 01-17-2003, 07:24 PM ..there isn't much difference between the two, there are grade 8 studs included with the Mac, so for 210.00 shipped cdn to your door or go for the T/A from Mopac 300.00 or so...either way I want the Mac, anyone else? ...thank you Houman for checking in for us:) oldschool 01-20-2003, 01:38 AM I'm still in if you want to do it.... sleeperZragtop 01-20-2003, 04:44 PM Me, Andy and Phil....3 so far..need 3 more...I'l get a pic and post a link sleeperZragtop 01-20-2003, 06:55 PM http://www.metalreviewcentre.com/TAframe.htm ..have a look at this guys Mac cover Doc_z28ss 01-20-2003, 08:44 PM Does the Stud Kit from the T/A kit work with the Mac?? if no is there something else that will keep the bearing caps from walking in the housing, or is this not that much of a worry? thanks for the info Lost 01-20-2003, 09:07 PM I am in.. that is if I that's okay with everyone else since I'm kinda not from the northwest... Why don't you guys post this in the group purchase section.. you could surely get more than the necessary amount of buyers there. Lost 01-20-2003, 09:16 PM Originally posted by Doc_z28ss Does the Stud Kit from the T/A kit work with the Mac?? if no is there something else that will keep the bearing caps from walking in the housing, or is this not that much of a worry? thanks for the info Yes, the bearing caps walking is the main concern.. that's why I'm buying this unit. From what I understand this kit basically comes with the studs already built in... you don't buy the studs seperatly like you do with the T/A (they probably sell them seperatly to make the cover seem cheaper than it really is). Look at the link to a picture of someones mac cover.. it's at the bottom of the previous page. You can see the two studs plainly.. Hope this helps, sleeperZragtop 01-20-2003, 09:17 PM Doc, the Mac includes a stud kit, but they only use 2 grade 8 bolts..and Lost it won't be a problem ..so that's 4 total for now oldschool 01-21-2003, 06:08 PM Shawn (Musky's SS) might be interested Doc_z28ss 01-21-2003, 06:38 PM depending on when this is happening i would be interested.....give me a time frame and i will confirm :) thanks phil94-T/A 01-22-2003, 09:14 PM So we have Mike, Andy,Will, Doc, and myself.
