That Camaro Guy

I got my tuning software (Tunercats) and my cable last week and I had a few things to tie up first. I did my first scan today and I'm left with a few questions.
1. I scanned the PCM and saved the file in Tunercats. I can access it from my laptop but I'm unable to find the file itself. Tunercats lists the file in the "tuner" folder and opens it from there. Upon opening the folder itself, the file is not there. I've tried every which way to copy/move the file and it's not possible. I would like to edit my files on my desktop with my huge monitor, not on my laptop. Tunercats told me in an email that it was OK to install their software on both of my computers with only purchasing one license and I could send files back and forth like I want to. So... Any ideas how to move the file?
2. Error message while opening my .bin file. The message reads:
"The selected source file has been modified and the checksum disabled. The tuner program can not verify that the prover ECM definition file is being used. Proceed anyway?"
Click yes and it opens just fine, with all the tables. I'm using the original PCM in my 94Z and it has been tuned before at a shop in Orlando. I'm using the latest version of Tunercats with the $EE ECM definition file. I think I'm missing something here
3. I was able to scan the PCM and save the file, but I was unable to keep Freescan running. I tried running it in compatibility mode and not in cap. mode, both ways = fail. With my scan master switched off, Freescan would show connected (bytes/second counting up) but no engine parameters. It would only read anything with the scan master switched on. Diagram of wiring:

Perhaps Vista is the problem? Any recommendations?
