stalling problem

I'm new here and I hope i'm posting this in the right place.

I have a 78 coupe with a 350.
mods: kieth black pistons 9.5:1 compression, under driven pulleys. edelbrock performer rpm intake, edelbrock 750 cfm carb, msd distributer and 6al ignition, 2200 rpm stall converter, edelbrock performer rpm cam (lift .488in .510ex duration 234in 244ex.

Problem: after the car runs for awhile 20 min and i stop turn it off for ten min (like at the store) then start it and go, it wants to stall at low speeds while turning a corner. at first we found the carb was dumping fuel in the secondaries and changed the step up springs on the metering jets. that stopped the over fueling at idle but it still wants to stall while breaking and turning. at high speeds and normal driving it does well. at idle the vacume is 8 psi . is it possible that the break booster taking vacume and the power steering pump with the under driven pulleys is causing this?
anyone have a suggestion?

Could be as simple as a float level that's way too high. Have you checked that? The simple stuff first...

we have adjusted the floats and and the step-up springs. it doesnt seem to be a fuel problem but that doesnt mean its not.
I will double check today.

any other suggestions?

T,
I'm in and out of here all the time so I miss alot of the threads I responded to someone in.
Glad to hear you figured it out though. Best of luck.
