Why does Mazda feel the need to make all of their recent designs wear a clown smile? The front of the Miata looked fine as it was.

I concur. The Miata front end did not need revising. I do not care for the "smiling" corporate grill opening on any of the new Mazdas

 

Probably a connection from the air intake into the cabin so that you can hear the engine sounds. The 2010 Mustang has it too.

 

It's just as happy as the new Mazda 3.

 

I thought that is what Long tubes and dumps are for.

I heard a SRT-4 Neon with a straight pipe that sounded really good once. Not like a coffee-can at all. Very throaty and deep, definately like a modified GM 3.8L

 

Piping the exhaust through a turbocharger changes everything.
