pwr acc no 7 fuse = battery draw

Figured out I had a bad battery draw killing my battery in less than 24 hours after each time turning it off. I narrowed the draw down to the PWR ACC fuse 7.

Has anyone come across this with a fix?

Only things on that circuit are the: park lamp relay, hatch release relay, power mirror switch, radio, shock sensor, instrument cluster.

Any help would be great

problem found

I was able to narrow the draw down to the pwr acc fuse.

I disconnected the positive cable from the battery and jumped a test light between the positive terminal on the battery and the positive cable. Immediately the test light lit up, bright. I removed the pwr acc fuse and it dimmed then when I removed the radio fuse it dimmed a lot more. With the two fuses removed it was only drawing .18 amps, not enough for a dead battery. Before it was a 3+amp draw.

So it was narrowed it down to the radio. The factory radio has a short in it. I wont know 100% sure until I replace it with another

I will update the post with results.

Did you ever solve your problem? I have a 2.3 amp draw on the same fuse. Replacing the head unit made no difference for me. Thanks for any info you can provide!

I just put a new battery in my car and went out in the morning to a dead battery. I may have the same problem. I'll have to check this out further. Kind of a PITA!! Luckily I can bump start it in the driveway.....

Is your problem related to the same fuse?
