Stuck Clutch Master Cyl. U Bolt....tips?

I cant get one side of the u bolt to budge any. Both of the nuts on the u bolt and the clip that holds to "push rod" to the clutch pedal have been removed. I have tried to hit it with a hammer many times. Anyone else run into this? If so what did you do. THANKS, Brad

There is a thin metal washer on the master cylinder stud that is probably the source of your problem. It's probably used to make installation easier but it is a pain when trying to remove the stock master cylinder. Using my fingernails I was able to "unscrew" the washer from the stud.
