what's a 6.0 worth?

a buddy has offered to sell me an '03 that only has 200 miles on it for $300, it has wiring harness & computer. he said that he thinks the ac compressor is bad. is this a good deal? i might put this in my jeep!

Yea but look at it this way, If you put it in the Camaro Z28, your Jeep could get smoked by 10 cars on the highway, and by the time you would have went home, parked, had a snack, checked the news, pull out your Z28, get on the Highway, go to your destination... ..you would pass all 10 cars who passed you earlier + probably 50 more :D

LS2 is a similar block, except in aluminum. It has a different cam and different heads. Iron blocks don't need any clearancing to make them strokers, either, which is nice if you want to do some modding.

Hell yes $300.00 is a good deal.

Put the LT1 in your Jeep.

For no more then you have in the 6.0L spend a little money and stroke that up to a 408ci and put it in your Z28. ;)

There may be some internal differences, but AFAIK the only major differences are the compression ratios. Supposedly the LQ4 has different pistons then the LQ9 (acc to the truck forums in a quick search).

Either way, doesn't really matter esp if your going to go with different heads.

pull the serial number/ casting number off the block/heads then you should be able to find out exactly what the stock compression ratio is/ cam/ Lb per Hr Injectors/Maf everything..once you know what the engine is, you can get a lot more info as you are researching a Specific engine instead of two or three..
