Been Waiting To Share This, Series III Die-Cast

As y'all may or may not know, Jason is ramping up the Series III die-cast, and has released the packaging artwork, which can be seen here. Here in this thread is an alternate version I did of the car, it's just black & white, but I always mess around with other color combinations when I work on these things & really liked the way this one looked in black & white, or silver & gray if you want to pretend, & so wanted to share it just in case anyone else here might like it as well. There is a larger version of this one & the original blue one on my site here, 1280 x 864

Not sure if the picture is showing anymore for everyone here, it was but I think Google is being mean.

And I'm just now getting around to it, so? I've had that picture for months now and been wanting to share them, but it's not like I had to do it the absolute minute Jason put the page up, and not everyone goes to every part of the board anyhow, I know I don't, so maybe there are some who missed it and don't know that it's out yet.

Great Job. If that version was released as a platinum version I would buy one.

Thanks Jason!

Purple 92 SS, don't worry about it bud, I read on a lot of boards, but don't post hardly ever anywhere, so maybe my posting skills could use some polish as well.

WOW! I do like the B&W one, but the pic on your site of the production one has me much more excited! It looks sooo much brighter and more vibrant the one Jason has on the store page. The one there just looks much more "washed out." I like how the wheels, stripe, and lettering look more yellow-gold as well.

Jason, which will the production car be more like (if you can tell a difference, or am I just )?
Also, I take it that based on the pre-prod car, the interior won't be yellow? (as I just noticed in the pics )

BIG B7887, Jason will have to answer most of your questions, but what I can tell you is, I send him quite a few files for him to work with & ultimately get things how he sees fit for packaging & what not. There's quite a few layers, such as, the shadow is a layer, the car itself is a layer, then the decals are their own layer & so on, so Jason can tweak each individual thing how he wants or needs, so what your seeing on my site is more of the raw, initial picture. I do send him things brighter & with more contrast & sharpness since I know the packaging is so small, but ultimately it's up to Jason, so I like to give him more to work with so he can dial things in like he wants, & ultimately I like what Jasons done with it for the final picture. I guess then this other picture is just another collectible for the Series III in some way, just another piece of Series III memorabilia.

FWIW, If GM were to offer a Mark Donohue Commemorative Edition Camaro package, I'd be all over it!

One image is higher quality than another, that's all.

AH! Sharp eye. Yes, the interior is supposed to be yellow on the final production car, it just didn't make it in the prototype.

I can't remember if I sent the files to you with the adjustment layer for the contrast on or off, been a while now, but that definitely seems to be the one thing that's off. I think it looks better without the extra contrast though, whether intentional or not
