What do I have to do to get 405 normally aspirated TPI hp from my L98? Can it be done without cubes, nitrous and super ram?
Most people I've seen bearly make 350 to 380 hp and not to the rear wheels. The Danger Mouse (super chevy article engine) seems to have some good ideas but it is carberated.
Curious and serious about it.

Can be done but very difficult. You might have to settle for 405hp at the flywheel instead of the rear wheels. I'm shooting for close to 400hp out of my L98 i'm building up. It just depends on how much $$$$$$ you want to drop

You are not going to get there with the LTR setup. You are going to have to run a different intake like the Holley Stealth Ram or Mini Ram. Like stated above it is possible if you have the money to do it. It is the typical receipe, good heads, good cam, nice free flowing intake, and cleaning up as many surfaces as you can to make it flow as smooth as possible.

Whoa, I did not write that reply, I don't even have an L98.
You should be able to put out some good power numbers, but I do believe you would be better off ditching the OEM TPI setup. I like the Mini Ram, but its price doesn't like me. I'd say go with a stout bottom end, some AFR heads, a healthy roller cam, and aftermarket intake. With the right combiunation of those parts 400 HP shouldn't be that hard.

I'd listen to Marty he knows his stuff. Yeah i would definatly go with at least a Holley StealthRam intake, the price is right and from what i've heard the specs are quite good.
