Never really looked into wheels/tires too deeply until recently, where I have learned the horrible fact that my Eagle wheels are already at their limits of tire sizes...... and I was looking to go wider .

My tires suck right now, they're called Sonar NS-1's and they are 255's. But even if I got some good tires, could I still run decent times/perform well on roadcourses with this size tire?

What are your opinions on wheel widening and do you have any ideas as to the cost of it?

btw, I plan on making more power in the future, so please don't make fun of my comparatively low power and asking about making good 1/4 times.

 

I plan on getting a 255 tire for my 16" wheels. I'm hoping it will be good enough, because I don't want to step up to 17" wheels.

I have 245's now, and they are doing alright. I think the 255's will be pretty good. 275 on a 17x9 wheel is ideal though.
