Will 4th gen cat-back work on 3rd gens? B&B Triflow

I want to change cat-backs on the '91 and I'm really interested in the B&B Triflow for some unknown reason. Is there any way to make it work on a 3rd gen?? How difficult would it be? I'd rather not sink all that money into an exhaust system only to find out that it doesnt work!! I plan on ditching the cat if that matters. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Joe.

I know that the rear section is identical, but as far as the intermediate pipe and over axle pipe I am not sure. For the most part I would say yes, but take it to a muffler shop and they may have to do a little bit of custom work to make it fit.

I really can't be of help on the fitment part, but I do have a comment on the TriFlo system. I bought it for the '95 Formula I used to have and it was definitely an awesome piece. People used to always ask about it. Very good quality. If the tips are what has you sold and the whole system doesn't bolt up...I think you may be able to order the tips and have them welded or clamped onto a system specifically made for your car. You may want to go over to www.thirdgen.org and use the search function. I'm sure this has been brought up over there before. Good luck.

I had a Pacesetter installed on my car earlier this year.
It came right off af a 95 Trans Am and bolted up to my car, but I did have a custom Y pipe made and a new high flow cat installed so I am not sure if the I-Pipe would have bolted up to a stock cat.
It sounded pretty good too,
Here is a video of my car right after the TPI swap was done and the exhaust installed.

Wow!! That sounds really good! I like the '91-'92 ground effects.

Thanks.
I no longer have that exhaust or motor setup.
I have a Flowmaster with a 3" cutout and an LT4.
