"Low Trac" and "Brake" Light randomly come on??

The car in question is a 1994 z28, when I am driving the low trac and brake light randomly will come on and off at the same time in the gauge cluster. The car does not and never has had traction control so I'm a bit confused? Any suggestions?

Maybe check the power and ground terminal posts on the passenger side shock tower area. If those get dirty/corroded, you can get those dash lights illuminated.

The fact that you have a "LOW TRAC" light has nothing to do with whether your car has traction control. Its on the dash of all the 4th Gens, and if you don't have traction control, it means the ABS is activated.

The "BRAKE" light indicates the e-brake is pulled up, or that there is an unequal pressure in the front and rear brake lines, tripping the differential pressure switch on the side of the ABS unit, where the two lines from the master cylinder connect.

But it can also be a ground or battery problem, as outlined above.

Moving to "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes" forum....

Another vote for cleaning the ground post located on the passenger inner fender next to the red topped power post. Completely remove all the of wires and remove the ground post. Thoroughly clean the fender including removing the paint on the fender just under the ground post area.
