Mother's Powerball 4Paint

Found this while browsing their website.

http://www.motherspowerball.com/

It's a new powerball that's for polishing your car. I'm going to have to try this one [on my daily first].

Same here. I bought Zaino AIO, Z3, CS, Z8 detailer, etc. and they are all excellent products. Very nice people and again, great products. Still, for the aprox. $125 I spent on them, I an just as happy with Meguiar's NXT 2.0 and Ultimate Quick Detailer. Total of about $25 invested and my white '95 Z28 and daily driver, black '01 PT Cruiser both look great. The Z stays in the garage but the PT gets about 1,000 miles a week and goes about 2 months between re waxing. Just a quick going over with UQD and I'm all set.

Love Zaino, but love keeping my money in my pocket more with the same shine.

I could see this doing some nasty things to paint. I do not understand how they think this will work without leaving long half circle swirls on your paint?

probably just how polishing/buffing bonnets don't scratch the paint....

i don't think they would sell it and put the mothers name on the line if this scratched the crap out of the paint. i want to try it, not on my car though.

Being a detailer a good amount of experience buffing cars, IMO, I would never buy or use this thing for several reasons. A) its a freakin ball, not a flat surface, so even force cannot be applied, therefore you cannot buff evenly B) its attatched to a drill with one speed and probably slow C) although I haven't felt one, I'd imagine its pretty soft for them to sell to the public like that (so it doesn't screw up paint) and soft means not much buffing power and more importantly on something like that, if you try to apply force you will be drilling your car

i'm a huge mother's fan, but totally hate all their power ***** and the stuff to go with it, hell the whole power line up sucks IMO. Their regular stuff is way better. So save your money and buy a real buffer or a variable speed random orbital like a porter cable, add some good pads, good polishes and you can probably do a pretty damn good job at buffing if you've never done it before.

powerballs are good for wheels, not paint. Get a DeWalt buffer if you want results.
