It doesn't matter if you have a stock single cat y-pipe or a stock dual-cat y-pipe, neither of them will work with long tube headers due to the dimensions. What brand long tubes did you buy? stockssn2o 04-03-2008, 08:22 PM It doesn't matter if you have a stock single cat y-pipe or a stock dual-cat y-pipe, neither of them will work with long tube headers due to the dimensions. What brand long tubes did you buy? they are jet hot... i have a y pipe in 5 pieces ... i just wanna know the difference in the two ... 2000GTP 04-03-2008, 08:24 PM they are jet hot... i have a y pipe in pieces ... is it gonna bolt up or what ... If it is the jet-hot long tube header y-pipe then it will bolt up. If it is a stock y-pipe, it will not. stockssn2o 04-03-2008, 10:01 PM i did a search the AIR fitting is different and the 97 has rear o2 sensors...which isn't a problem because the rear o2s are turned off on my car 2000GTP 04-04-2008, 07:58 AM If they are the "race" headers, it won't be an issue considering they won't have the AIR and EGR fittings. LJM97Z 04-04-2008, 11:48 AM I just got an ORY pipe for my 97. BTW, how did you turn off your rear o2 sensers ? Injuneer 04-04-2008, 12:27 PM The rear sensors have to be eliminated in the PCM programming. Or replace them with "sims", if anyone is still making them. stockssn2o 04-04-2008, 02:35 PM If they are the "race" headers, it won't be an issue considering they won't have the AIR and EGR fittings. they aren't race headers they are emmisions legal I just got an ORY pipe for my 97. BTW, how did you turn off your rear o2 sensers ? we turned them off when i got it dyno-tuned... Green96Z 04-04-2008, 03:10 PM 96-97 cars have different AIR fittings than previous years. And if you're going with an ORY and already had the rear O2s deleted, then y-pipe doesn't matter, as long as it bolts up to your catback. 2000GTP 04-04-2008, 06:44 PM The rear sensors have to be eliminated in the PCM programming. Or replace them with "sims", if anyone is still making them. They are alot harder to find, although I know of a couple of vendors in which I purchased a couple sets from to keep on hand. If you are interested in the links for your own personal reference, I can PM you them. | ||
