It doesn't matter if you have a stock single cat y-pipe or a stock dual-cat y-pipe, neither of them will work with long tube headers due to the dimensions. What brand long tubes did you buy?

If it is the jet-hot long tube header y-pipe then it will bolt up. If it is a stock y-pipe, it will not.

i did a search the AIR fitting is different and the 97 has rear o2 sensors...which isn't a problem because the rear o2s are turned off on my car

If they are the "race" headers, it won't be an issue considering they won't have the AIR and EGR fittings.

I just got an ORY pipe for my 97.

BTW, how did you turn off your rear o2 sensers ?

The rear sensors have to be eliminated in the PCM programming. Or replace them with "sims", if anyone is still making them.

96-97 cars have different AIR fittings than previous years. And if you're going with an ORY and already had the rear O2s deleted, then y-pipe doesn't matter, as long as it bolts up to your catback.

They are alot harder to find, although I know of a couple of vendors in which I purchased a couple sets from to keep on hand. If you are interested in the links for your own personal reference, I can PM you them.
