Love the Podcast/Thoughts on Other Cars?

Hey Guys,

First I wanted to say that I really love the Podcasts! I've only recently been able to have an iPod and be able to put them on it. I've also tried to set it up to put back episodes on there and keep them on, so I can listen, but I've had some trouble with it. Anyway, whether it's Friday, Monday, whenever, thanks for doing them; they are really great!!

So now I really hope I don't get a bunch of negative responses to this, but I was really interested in your comments a few weeks back on the Challenger. I've been a little curious about it because of the 425 horsepower, but when it comes down to it, it's just a freakin' 300M or whatever. I haven't heard what you guys think about the GT 500 . I know that those are the most damning words a Camaro lover can say (and trust me, I'm as big a Camaro guy as anyone and would put myself up against anyone when it comes to Chevrolet). But when it comes to a sub-$50K car with 500 horsepower, It deserves a look-see.

I really don't know if I'd buy one, but the Camaro release date being moved really has me wondering what's going to happen. I don't think that the price of gas will knock it out or anything, but I'm getting a little jittery to get something fast. My 2002 SS is quick, but jeez, a GT 500 has more than 150 hp more. My local dealer says I'm #1 on the list for a Camaro when they come out....

Whaddaya think?

Thanks again for doing the Podcasts every week, they really ROCK!!!

Sweet Z

The Camaro release date has been moved??? Says who? That's news to me. I dont think the date has ever been set in stone, much less moved...

As for the other ideas, I agree. We ought to have Jason and Chris do an "on-location" podcast some time at the track, where they get the chance to put a microphone into the cars and go for a ride. Perhaps a GM pre-production Camaro versus GT500 versus Challenger, all out at Gratten, Milford, Milan, or whatever. Then they can give us their "unbiased" opinions... :heh: :heh:

Cool Release Date Moved?

Hi,

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have said that the release date was moved. From a lot of what I've seen, including posts like this:

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=467587

I got the feeling that it was going to be a 2009 model released 1Q09. Recently is seems that the talk is that it will be a 2010 model released late in 2009. So I really don't know that there is an 'official' release date that we know about, but it seems like a lot of talk is putting it later than originally indicated.

Thanks, Z~
