Friendly competition ???

I know I would like to see some LT1 guys whoop on some of those LS1 dweebs ;) (including you Carrie :) ) .
I hope and should be up and running by the late springtime/early summer (provided that I don't get reactivated ) .
I definately would like to see 1st and goal dual it out with Slowhawk :) .

Actually there is a 5-line rule for sigs.... There was a mod discussion earlier today about cracking down on it. Perhaps you might want to at least preserve the intent of having a shorter sig. :) Sorry to be a jerk about it but your sig really is long and is it really necessary to list all that stuff every time you post?

The event could be held on a non-points day. We would only need the track to give us a lane so we could be pulled at the same time.

Perhaps we could get some of the Camaroz28.com and LS1.com sponsors to put up some "goodies" or small checks for the winners and semi finalists, maybe take pictures that could be used by them to promote their products in return for putting up some prizes. I bet the track would go along with this similiar to the Vette/Viper race they had the end of last year...

those are some really good ideas Ted, this has the possibility to change from a little gathering to a full blown event

hey marc wanna break out the cav so i'll have someone to run against at this little thing that won't involve some sort of blown/stroked 4th gen :p

although there are more and more 3rd genners showing up at our events... i've gotta be able to beat at least some of them ;)

Fixed sig. No times on new motor. I will say it should be in the tens with the wet kit on.

id probably like to get in on this, i havent been to the track yet with my Z and its been a few years since i ran at all (had a 13 sec. 3rd gen). my Z is having some issues right now, so if its not ready, maybe ill bring up the 4-door and have some fun in that.

I am always up for a race! Hopefully, if you guys do this it will be in mid-June or later. It will take a while for me to get things sorted out. Heck, last year I didn't really start to get a handle on the car until September!

If you can plan the date so as not to conflict with NHRA's div 1 schedule I may be able to persuade a couple friends who run 3rd gen Camaros in stk class to join us, but as I said it can't conflict with the div 1 schedule- nat'l, div'l or open series.

BOWTIEPOWR: Down here, we usually frequent a combo of 3 different tracks: Lebannon Valley, E-Town and Atco. But I was told by good resources that NED is well-suitable for such an event as well, so no biggie to drive up north to do just that. It is exactly the same distance from me as E-town (down to the last mile). :)

i'll be dynoing on the 18th you should come to :D unfortunately as for haveing the nx in then is daubtful so i might not be spraying for a while as i am only gonna spray after i dyno it on the spray

I'm gonna dyno mine again in the spring. I recently dynoed and havent made any changes. I am gonna keep it parked until the salt is off the roads. I might come up though to see whats going on.

I might just go in my beater. I got pcmforless, but I dont know how well its working. I dynoed 351rwhp with an A/F of 11.0-11.5. Then Bryan leaned it out with a new program and the new A/F was 12.0-13.0, but I lost 2rwhp peak and 3-4rwhp on average. I am where I should be with the A/F right? Kind of strange.

LVD has a 'looser' track rental policy, and its not all that far away ;)

Side by side racing, and they allow more cars :)

well it is up to you but i would have someone dyno tune it to get the exact peak and play with it till everything was perfect. and either car doesn't matter.

The only problem is Dean says I would have to bring my own copy LT1 edit cuz it only takes 1 vin #. I dont even have an AFPR, so I cant adjust that either. How else can I tune it?

you could get an OBD1 pcm tune and tune off the software for that, its much easier and cheaper than LT1 edit. thats what i did at least. you can do all the reflashing too. then you could tune a/f i THINK using the OBD1 software, if not get the AFPR and use that with the tune.

i think all the OBD1 tuning software is free or cheap. ask around or post in LT1 tech. gbelli might now, i know he has an OBD1 tune and the software, he oculd prolly help you out. as for playing around on the dyno day, it really is up to dean and dependent on the timing/number of cars id assume.

Doesn't the 95 have an OBDII connector? I have OBDII scanning software that I will be bringing to the dyno day on the 18th. I scanned a friend's '95 Jimmy with it.

duh, you are so right rich. 95 is OBD1. so yeah, get a laptop and the software and your all set, or like rich said, he can prolly do it for you.
