New rear gear 4.10 What a Difference!!!kissel 12-13-2002, 03:54 PM Man I just switched gears from a 3.31 to a 4.10 on a 12 bolt rear for my car and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE, unbelievable. For months I went thinking if it was going to be to small of gear on the highway and all, and it fits just perfect. Great RPM's and good acceleration. If the 4spd is a wide ratio tranny (gears spaced farther apart) you pretty well need at least 3.73 and the lower the better (to a point). Even my little 377ci would lose a bit between shifts with the wideratio ST10 and a 3.08 rear. I will be going from 3.08pegleg to 4.56 posi soon..... can't wait :D . Have fun. CoryM | ||
