Jegs style pro stars

I was thinking about getting rid of my Zr1's for the jegs style Weld prostars...The only reason being is I cant afford the actual Welds, and the Jegs brand name is IDENTICAL to the welds...Anyone have input on this?

Also what size would I need to run for the Z (94)

Thumbs up

you'd have to do some grinding to get them to fit other than that I'd run 15x8 front and 15x1_ in the back. If it's just a track car run skinnies in the front- 15x3.5,

The JEGS Sport-Star wheels are replicas of the Weld Pro-Star XP's.... NOT IDENTICAL to the Weld Pro-Stars. The XP (and the JEGS wheel) is a street wheel, not a drag wheel, and is a heavier, one-piece cast wheel. The true Pro-Star is a lighter weight, 2-piece forged wheel. I believe the XP's will fit without the interference problems with the brakes, but you need to verify that for the specific sizes you pick.

What size wheels you need will be determined by the size tires you want to run, and whether they are intended for the street or strictly for the track.

Hey Injuneer where did you hear that these were a replica of the XP? I just called jegs and all the guy could tell me is they looked the same.

I will say, i got a set of the Summit Pro-stars, i've heard Jegs needs grinding, anyways, i was shocked when i pulled them out of the boxes, they are for the money, well packed & have a briliant shine, i got the 15/8 5.5 back spacing & 15/4 fronts, they are alittle heavier then the 2 piece welds or Craigers, they are not a Drag-light type wheel, there a 1 peice street wheel, safe for a street car, now i've held mine & to bo honest, there not that heavy, & i've owned several weld wheels, IMO, if your looking to save alittle $$$, these wheels are by far worth the price

& one more thing, just for kicks, i mocked one up on the rear of my 97 (with stock calipers) & wouldn't ya know, they fit, with room too spare, i was able to move the wheel around from side to side in the stud area & they still didn't touch the caliper, they came close, but in all i think it had around 1/4" room once centered.

I paid 471.00 to the door with a Gorilla lug kit.

I'll see if i can post a pic of mine.

Looks good. They are an excellent choice if you're on a budget, or just if you're looking to put the $ elsewhere in your car. My friend put the jegs on his 95z and had to do a little grinding to get them to fit, but not nearly as much as you'd expect with weld prostars...I think they'd look pretty neat if you could find a chevy bowtie or a pontiac emblem styled center cap for them...

+1 to the Summit's for fitment

yeah I saw these, and I am toying with the idea if I can get some spare dough...What tires are you running on them?

Also what spacing do you have in the fronts?
