I just bought (My Wife) and 2002 SS Limited Edition Convertible With 14000 miles. I Have found a few Minor (I Hope) problems. The Lights flicker when it is first started and the heater fan motor cut off twice for a few seconds. There is also a Slight tick coming from the right valve cover area when it is cold. There are squeaks from the rubber in the rear, I thing the stabilizer bar bushings. Any cures.. Are these things normal are do they indicate a hard short life?? Also does any one know the option code for the limited edition. I saw so many different variations while I was looking I don't know what it is supposed to have. It is not an SLP, but I saw one for sale that had motor covers like the corvette engine and also had the build number on top of the Ac Drier?? and a plate on the front of the head that said 359 of ####. Thanks for any info.

Do you mean the "35th Anniversary Edition"? If so, the RPO code is "Z4C". There were 3,369 with that option, according to the "Camaro White Book".

I have an 02 Z28 black on black with all options that has had several modifications (no cutting or welding) with vette wheels even. It has 8k miles on it and has been garage kept and never been driven in the rain. Modifications usually indicate a hard life but there are exceptions. I bought the car because I had a 67 Z and had to sell it back in the 80s so I thought I had better get one in 02 if I wanted one. My girl friend had an earlier Camaro also and she will not let me sell this one.

Borla cat back, Frame connectors, SLP lid, adj. pad hard, tower brace, SS hood and G2 rear spoiler, etc. Still have the factory Z rated tires on the chrome wheels and the hood, etc.

Our mods are in the signature. We did the mods to make our car different than others when take it to the local cruise nights and car shows. Most of the mods are apperance mods but sometimes they help with the performance i.e. headers. We are planning a few more mods this winter and will put the car in Chevy Vette Fest near Chicago in April. We drive the car, we have taken to the local strip for test and tune a couple times. However the car is babied beyond belief and stored in the winter.Have fun with your new toy. My wife and I are old enough to know better if you know what I mean.

The lights (outside and dash/radio etc) flickering on cold starts could just be the air pump cycling if it's not constant - my car has done that from day 1.
