my drivers outside door handle doesnt open the car anymore, but it still opens from the inside. whenever i pull up on it it like its not pulling against anything.
i need to pull the door apart and see whats going on. my question is, is there a common fix that i should look at first or parts that i need to buy before i pull the door open. just want to buy whatever parts while the dealers are open since it will be this weekend before i can look into it.

 

There is a door lock clip that might have broke.... Most auto parts stores carry them...

What n2cepter said. There are plastic clips that hold the rod to the handle, and that breaks. It broke on mine, so I got an extra at the junkyard.

 

Same thing with mine...So how much would that little plastic thing be...

semi off topic but last year a pin broke on my drivers side outer door handle and now the door handle feels slightly loose.. any idea how much a new outer door handle costs and where to get one?
