anyone have AOL IM and wanna help w/nx??

I'm doing a nx install, i got the kit and everything, and i just wanted somone that installed the same one to ask a few questions, it would be alot faster then the board. Right now, everything looks good, but I'm missing the nitrous filter AND i have a few questions about routing the pressure guage into the glove box. Also, for the purge i got thise little 6" metal rod to purge out of, can i attach a rubber tube to it so i can route the purge???? Hmm, oh yeah, I have no clue where to put the FPSS into the fuel system(and what psi i should set it at) and where to i plumb in the main fuel line for the fuel solenoid??? If u can help me out, please respond here or my IM is bhawalka. THanks alot.

I did my nitrous install with a friend a couple of months ago,

I wouldn't install and run the system without having the nitrous filter there, in fear of getting something into the soleonoid and then it staying stuck open on you or having to rebuild it.

I didn't buy the upgrade kit from NX so therfore i don't have a fpss or a purge valve...

You plumb the line to your shrader valve fitting. it is located on the passenger side in the back of the intake just below the dash...its on the line that connects both of the fuel rails...you're going to have to use a shrader valve removal tool to remove the valvle part inside it....the line simply just attaches to that then...

thanks for the responce, that makes sense. As far as the filter, i called racenet and they say i should have it, it looks like a little screen and not a big filter thing?? So i looked in the solenoid and there is a screen in there, is that the filter???? Anyway, here's a link to my thread in lt1 tech, i described it in more detail there. Thanks

Go ahead and start on the install!! I'd never done a N2O install before either and the only thing is figuring out where to mount everything I.E; solonoids, tank, ign. box,WOT switch, arming buttons, hose and wire routing. Only thing I stumbled on was tying the window switch in with all the other stuff, I've got a good schematic and can send ya if need it. The install really is straight forward, just take your time. There should be two blue anodized fittings, one has two male and one female(goes on bottle for the gage and heater transducer and the feed line to the solonoid), the other has one female and one male. This one goes on the fuel noid, with the FPSS screwing in the side.<correct me if I'm wrong>. I ran that 6" peice of tubing into the cowl area and used copper line and compressing fittings. I T'd the line and got the purge coming out in the metal screen thats in the vents on the cowl panel, painted them black and ya cant even see them. Good luck!
