Controlling aftermarket injectors with factory PCM

1) If I want to machine a manifold to mount a roots type blower on an LT1 and control 8 individual injectors with the factory PCM, is that doable without major R&D? In other words, except for maching the manifold, is this an "off-the-shelf" type of job?

2) If I chose to do this and I machined mounting points for individual injectors by each intake port, are there guidelines in terms of mounting and aiming the injectors? Distance form the head, etc?

The only problem is to see if the cables are long enough or not to fit.. the rest.. I dont think it matters to the PCM where the injectors are...

Well cable length is a non isssue to me. I can always make a wire longer.

I think I was more concerned with what went into deciding the location of the injector in relation to the entrance to the intake port.
