Rear suspension refreshing

Hello there, I am planning on a purchase of shocks. I am planning on the rears first since it rides so badly and thumps over any beat up pavement in the salt belt here.

I am looking at the set of Bilsteins since that is a name I knew from the IROC'S, SS ,Hawks so forth. Are they a good choice?

I should add the question of, would it be the deCarbon shocks worn out that is causing the rough ride? or has the rear springs weakened? Thanks.

The stock decarbons are horrible
Bilsteins are great shocks compared to the stockers however most people agree that the Konis are far superior to both. You will have to pay more for the koni's though.

You rough ride is almost for sure your stock decarbons

Thanks. Another thing I am interested in is some 1LE parts.I plan on the front sway barwhen I get the scratch. How about the LCA and Panhard bar bushings? I don't autocross or road race my car, but I do like it to handle a bit better than stock. Would they be good upgrades or too stiff for what I use my Z for? Thanks

I think you should go with aftermarket on the LCAs and panhard rod. I think the 1LE is just like stock, but the open half is closed up, with another piece of steel. I don't see it being much better than stock. You will get a million different opinions on which one is better, boxed, tubular, or adjustable. I went with tubular with poly bushings, and like them. They do transfer more noise into the cabin, but it's not like our cars are all that quiet anyway.
