Does anyone else have DART Pro 1 Aluminum Platinum heads?

I just got a set and they are advertised at 64cc, but I figured I would just ask around so I wouldn't have to mic them.

Chamber volume also depends on the valves and where the valve job is placed in the heads

I have a set of the Dart Pro One 200cc heads for my SBC. They are advertised as 64cc. In fact mine were over 69cc. By flat milling we were able to bring them down to 64.2cc. So you might want to have them checked. They are fine heads though.

How exactly do I check them? I thought it was process using a "mic". Maybe I misunderstood the instructor. I assumed it was a process where you measure the volume of the combustion chamber with a liquid while the valves are shut.

You fill the chambers with a liquid while they are assembled, make sure it's level, then remove it with a syringe and measure.

Or even just a needleless syringe (get one at a pharamcy). Seal the valves with a little grease (unless you do one hell of a valve job).

I've got a friend that is attempting to teach me a lot of this stuff over the phone. He's pretty good at what he does, but he has no formal education.

But I am an engineering student.

A CC is a very irregualt shape. Would be practically impossible to calculate the volume by taking measurements.

I must have "lapped the **** out of mine then"! Measured CC and the ports and never leaked any fluid.

A couple of guys here locally have the SBC versions. Couple of problems. The stock valve covers and some others will not fit. The accessory holes on the ends of the heads are not deep enough. Either shorter bolts or washer the ones you have.
